Offshore Work Gear

(music starts) hey everyone! i wanted to get a better idea of what lures andreally hold spread of lures look like from underwater to test this is mybrother jumped in the water while the rest of my family trolled overhead. we pulled a variety of lures such as slant lures flat head lures and cupped head lures

Offshore Work Gear

Offshore Work Gear, at various speeds. the flat head lureswould go up and down at the surface. they would wriggle real tight, hit the surface, come back down, and leave anice smoke trail. the slant head lures have more of a snake action going side to side. it would spraymore up on top. cupped head lures had a tight wriggle. they would come to the surface, quickly pop it and spray and then come back down.

we had one lure that was slantedand curved to it. and that's again just something a little different in the spread to give alittle bit different action. now, keep in mind that the lures run different depending on what what part of the wave they're on. if they're on the back, they tend to stay down more and leave a better smoke trail. and if they're on the front then they'll pop more and spray more and be out of the water more. see how this lure comes up to the surface pops, and then comes back down and leaves a great smoke trail. keep in mind that when you speed the boat up the whitewaters going to gofurther back, so if you do speed up

let your lures back a little. now these lures are meant to be run at about8 to 9.5 miles per hour. that might seem fast up top but from underwater it really didn't seem fast at all. from doing this i learned that some of my lures were a little too close to theprop wash being hidden by the whitewater now lures with weights or on planers that weredeep, i could easily see them but the top water ones, if they weren't out of thewhite wash they were kinda hard to see and probably make it harder for fish to see as well so if your not getting bites close in you might want to drop them back some. i hope this video was helpful to you and you learned about how lures workunderwater. i want to thank c&h lures for sponsor me these lures and helping mewith the video. they're a really cool

tackle shop and if you ever get a chance check themout. they make custom lures and feathers really cool and all kinds of stuff socheck them out online or go to their store if you're in jacksonville. its a pretty neat place. if you have any otherquestions about what i learned in the troll over just leave a comment below if you like the video subscribe and check out some of our other videos. also find us on facebook, instagram, and twitter. thanks for watching everyone!
